Las Vegas events private jet
Big weekends fill ramps fast. A light jet from Los Angeles runs $4,000 to $6,000 each way. Plan your Las Vegas events private jet trip around the calendar.

Las Vegas runs on a calendar. Conventions, fight cards, race weekends and award shows stack up, and each one pulls a different mix of aircraft into Harry Reid International, Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas. The Strip sits 2 miles from LAS, so the airport choice matters less than the slot you can get.
This page covers the events that move demand, what they do to ramp space, and how to think about estimates. A light jet from Los Angeles runs $4,000 to $6,000 each way and about 47 minutes in the air. Prices are estimates, not quotes. Operators set final numbers based on aircraft, crew and timing.
Las Vegas events private jet demand
Consumer Electronics Show
- January
The biggest week of the year for inbound business aircraft. Ramp space at all three airports tightens months ahead, and LAS handles the bulk of the heavy iron. Book early and expect higher estimates. If your schedule flexes, then shifting a day either side helps.
NASCAR race weekend
- March
A heavy-jet and turboprop mix, mostly from the Southeast and Midwest. Henderson Executive absorbs much of the overflow when LAS fills. Crew cars and hangar space go first. If you arrive Friday, then plan for longer taxi times.
March Madness and conference tournaments
- March
Short-notice bookings spike as brackets fill. Light jets from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego run $4,000 to $6,000 each way on these routes. Operators sometimes reposition from Phoenix and Scottsdale to cover demand. Same-day changes cost more.
Nevada primary and campaign season
- Spring and fall
Political charters add midsize and super-midsize movements on short notice. A midsize jet runs $5,200 to $7,800 per hour, and campaign schedules change by the hour. Ramp space is rarely the issue; crew duty time is. If a rally moves, then the flight moves with it.
Pool season and summer conventions
- May through September
Density altitude is the story. July density altitude at Henderson Executive reaches about 6,100 feet, which cuts performance on light jets and turboprops. Nonstop range drops, so some flights need a fuel stop. If you carry a full cabin, then plan for it.
Labor Day weekend
- September
A three-day push that favors light and midsize jets from the West Coast. North Las Vegas sits 7 miles from the Strip and handles smaller aircraft well. Departures stack on Monday afternoon. If you can leave Sunday night, then you avoid the crush.
Fight weekends and residency shows
- Year-round
Demand is unpredictable and concentrated on Saturday night. Heavy jets from New York run $22,000 to $33,500 each way, with 5 hours 46 minutes in the air. Late departures after a main event are common. Book the return leg when you book the outbound.
Formula 1 race weekend
- November
One of the tightest ramp weekends of the year. Harry Reid has a 14,835-foot runway and 6,200 feet of peak density altitude at 115F, so performance is rarely the limit; parking is. Slots fill early and estimates climb. If you have a firm arrival time, then lock it in months out.
Holiday season and New Year's Eve
- December
Inbound traffic peaks in the last week of December. The Strip is 2 miles from LAS, 10 from Henderson and 7 from North Las Vegas, so ground transfer is short once you land. Outbound demand on January 1 and 2 is heavy. Book both legs together.
How to book around the calendar
Start with the date, not the aircraft. When a major event lands on your dates, then ramp space and crew availability set the price more than distance does. We act as a charter broker and arrange flights with FAA Part 135 operators who hold operational control. We do not own aircraft. International legs need CBP clearance at the arrival airport.
Give us the passenger count, bags and any hard arrival time. A turboprop runs $2,200 to $3,500 per hour and a heavy jet $9,500 to $14,500 per hour, so class choice moves the estimate more than anything else. Estimates are just that. Final pricing depends on the operator and the day.

Questions
How far ahead should I book a Las Vegas events private jet flight?
For major event weekends, start 60 to 90 days out. Ramp space at LAS, HND and VGT tightens first, and crew availability follows. For a normal weekday, a week or two is often enough. If your dates overlap CES or the F1 race, then earlier is better. Prices are estimates until an operator confirms.
Which airport should I use for a Las Vegas events private jet trip?
Harry Reid International is 2 miles from the Strip, Henderson Executive is 10 miles and North Las Vegas is 7 miles. LAS has a 14,835-foot runway and handles heavy jets. Henderson and North Las Vegas suit smaller aircraft. If ramp space at LAS is full, then the other two are the fallback.
What does a private jet to Las Vegas cost from Los Angeles?
A light jet from Los Angeles to Las Vegas runs about $4,000 to $6,000 each way, with 199 nautical miles and roughly 47 minutes in the air. Orange County and San Diego price similarly. Heavy jets from New York run $22,000 to $33,500 each way. These are estimates, and event weekends push them up.
Does summer heat affect flights into Las Vegas?
Yes. July density altitude reaches about 5,700 feet at Harry Reid, 6,100 at Henderson and 5,700 at North Las Vegas. Peak density altitude at 115F hits 6,200 at LAS and 6,600 at Henderson. Light jets and turboprops lose performance, so some summer departures need a fuel stop or a weight limit.
Who operates the aircraft on these flights?
Flights are arranged with FAA Part 135 operators, who hold operational control and supply the crew and aircraft. We act as a charter broker under DOT Part 295 and arrange the trip as your agent. We do not own aircraft. If you need CBP clearance on an international return, then we build that into the schedule.
Can I book a one-way private jet to Las Vegas?
Yes. One-way legs are common into Las Vegas, especially from Phoenix, Scottsdale, Los Angeles and San Diego, where a light jet runs $4,000 to $6,000 each way. Empty-leg repositioning sometimes lowers the cost, but availability is unpredictable. If your dates are fixed, then book a standard one-way and compare.
What aircraft classes fly into Las Vegas most often?
Light and midsize jets dominate West Coast routes, with turboprops on shorter hops. Heavy jets appear for international and transcontinental arrivals. A light jet cruises around 430 knots and a heavy jet around 470. If you have more than 9 passengers, then a super-midsize or heavy jet is the practical choice.
How early should I arrive before departure?
Plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights. Your operator will give a specific time. During event weekends, add buffer for ground traffic near the Strip. If you are flying internationally, then allow extra time for CBP processing on arrival. TSA screening rules depend on the operator.
